Armley prison

Tom is curently doing a project for armly prisons visitor center as part of his PPD, i have started crewing for him, filming, sound recording ect while he interviews.

REPLICATORS

Ironically im replicating replicators.

From Wikipedia:

"In the science fiction series Stargate SG-1, the Replicators are self-replicating machines that seek to convert all civilizations into more of themselves, thus posing a dire threat to all other beings. They were first mentioned indirectly in the season 3 episode "Fair Game", and first seen onscreen in "Nemesis". The Replicators are primarily the enemies of the Asgard race, but Earth must also contend with them on several occasions. The Asurans of Stargate Atlantis are also called Replicators, due to their relationship and similarities to the race on SG-1."

i have made the clay block and when the mold is finished tonight, i will create one in each material i have the option of using to test how long and well each one casts and how easy it is to paint each when there finished.

Second life

Recently i have built a little "backlot" in SL, mainly to test out shots for my FMP but also so i can work of some machinima for my PPD.

Next weapon

This is a common design for a rocket-launcher, this is to make sure the scene seems military and not just sci-fi. After this is completed i will only be making relevant models. I am also figuring out how to make the rest of the props an have lots of experiments on the go with different materials that are setting in casts in the workshops.

Compositing my dissertation together took longer then expected. now sorting the imagery and the paperwork.

finished making the but of the gun and carved pegs to hold all the sections together while they glue and i seal all the gaps.

Film refrence props

There are things i wanted to add to my FMP that would be recognized from actual films, after the FMP meeting thing of friday iv decided to step it up a notch with film references. some ideas for props:

Bond, James Bond

Started watching though the Bond films for my FMP, Dr No had no Q laboratory apparently sean Connery is too bad ass to need gadgets lol.

Gun

Its getting there just need to build the stock and then paint it. when its finished i will have a good idea how long any other bit of prop building will take and my time plan will be more acurate.

Learning things

i didn an induction on the newest camras the college have with tom, steve and elf. after tom wanted to book it all out and get matt to go though how it all got set up from scratch, and he was good enough to invite me to try it all out while it was booked.
i know have a working knolage of all the equipment i will need for my FMP

Spent some time in fine art

went down to fine art, they have such a different look of thing. i couldn't help myself i had to help him with the remote fire starter, i held the box MISTAKE! only got a little burned..i got plenty of skin anyway.
