Review: Underworld

I realy enjoyed the eefects in this film though i wasnt as impressed with the story line as i was with the first film. The transformations are always nice and the mixed use of physical and digital characters is impressive.

Once agin the effects were done by Luma Pictures was the lead visual effects house for "UNDERWORLD: EVOLUTION" made by Lakeshore Entertainment. Luma created almost 200 visual effects shots for the film as well as the 3D creatures who interact with live action characters as well as being transformable from man to beast. Luma also made the 3D environment of the medieval castle were most of the film was based.

too 50 artists 8 months to make the VFX for this film and Luma studios has been called "one of the industrys most efficient pipelines for visual effects"Payam Shohadai visual effects supervisor for Luma Pictures said. "Other facilities capable of similar work often need twice the time and three times the staff to get the same job done"

I suggest this film to anyone who enjoyed the first one, likes Kate Beckinsale, likes special effects or can overlook spliced together plot points.
