Brute Spiker

Makig a Brute Spiker from Halo 3 seemed like quite a simple model to make but turned out to be very faffy to make the parts small enough to not seem tacky.



This is not my attempt, my atempt is still drying and coverd in in wire and clamps ill put up pictures later. this is a modle from devient art.





Here are some of my reference images, the fourth one is of particular interest because it a prop made for a series of Halo adverts so it represents a professionally made version.















Halo 3 ad "Belive" is designed to make it seem like the halo wars were real and long ago with an elderly veteran reminiscing about fighting the covenant with master chief. he walks though some of the old battle fields and shows some museum pieces of covenant weapons



There was also an amazing battlefield miniature made, supposably capturing a moment of the battle, they even made a "making of" for the model as if it was really a recreation.
