Disney Theft, Reuse and Homage

On my old blog i mentioned that Disney reuse animation cells, now the way i see it when they use the same animation in the same film then thats completely expected. when they use the same scene worth of animation in a different film i think thats just wrong. I get why they do it it will save them a fortune and save time but both films cost the same and your paying for bits twice even three times thats what i think is wrong. In 3D animation walk cycles are reusable and sometimes rigs but i would argue that because the character, the scene and the shot itself is different its not even slightly the same thing.

Disney's film "Enchanted" is a film made to look like the cartoon scenes deliberately for a familiar feel.

Synopsis:
A classic Disney fairytale collides with modern-day New York City in a story about a fairytale princess who is sent to our world by an evil queen. Soon after her arrival, Princess Giselle begins to change her views on life and love after meeting a handsome lawyer. Can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?

The reason i came back to this topic out of nowhere is the face that i was starting to put together the effects for my FMP and realized for things like particle effects it was easier for some of the basic ones to reuse old ones as a base and manipulate the settings.
